Many coastal communities along the coast line of Africa depend on the ocean for food and sustainable livelihoods. Climate change experts in Ghana draws attention to how rising ocean levels are threatening people’s livelihoods. In addition to this, coastal vegetation is also at risk. This article encourages us to think and learn about climate change, weather systems and the impact on populations who are most disadvantaged and economically vulnerable. Adult educators are encouraged to look at the role of adult education as a response to the ecological challenges.
